The Crew

We are really proud of the work ethic and focus that all our team members put into preparing and maintaining the fleet of boats for our customers to enjoy year after year. Having welcomed over 1,000 groups onto our boats, it really shines through how much having the right people makes a massive difference to our guests’ experience.

Here is a short bio of each of our members of staff so you can be more familiar with the faces and people that will greet you when you arrive for your holiday.

Paul

Director

Paul, the director of Floating Holidays, has been with the company since its early days. He is a knowledgeable and versatile member of the team who keeps everything running smoothly. Recently, he was elected to the Canal and River Trust Council, which oversees the largest navigational authority in the UK. When you arrive for your holiday, Paul will be there to welcome you, provide training induction, and assist with any questions or needs you may have during your break with us.

Sam

Director

Sam, Paul’s wife and Director, handles guest reservations, administration, and accounts for our canal boat holiday business. With her exceptional intellect and charm, you’ll likely communicate with Sam through email, phone, or online chat when booking, leading up to your holiday, and upon arrival to board your boat. Enjoy an amazing holiday aboard our boats!

Neil

Head Engineer

Neil, our experienced engineer, has seamlessly transitioned from working on high-end vehicles at motor dealerships to boats. He ensures our boats are in top condition for your holiday and will be there for your arrival and handover. Take advantage of his knowledge by asking him questions upon arrival. Neil will gladly engage in a friendly conversation.

Josh

Marina Assistant

Josh is our newest member of the team and bless him we plan on showing him what working for a living is all about! (kidding… not kidding ).

He has a background in painting and decorating and when he isn’t in our dry dock making boats look gorgeous, then you will find him helping out around the boat yard with general maintenance and boat preparation.

Sorry, our largest boat takes a maximum of 10 people. We could help you hire more than 1 boat to fit your group

Sorry, the minimum crew for a boat hire is 2 people.

We are expecting our day boat to be available from May 2024.

Holiday hires close at this time, however we maybe able to organise a longer hire over winter of 4 weeks or more.
